Here's the perfect trim saw for the job site. It's light and comfortable at just 7 pounds, yet it slices through 1-5/16 inches deep at 90 degrees. Its worm-gear drive means smooth operation while it 4-1/2 amp motor spins blade at 4,500 rpm. The saw weight is distributed evenly, and the ergonomic handle feels good. The kit includes the saw, a 20-tooth carbide-tipped Riptide blade, a blade wrench, and a knob. So Im a tool junkie home user. Im not a contractor or cabinet maker.This will NOT replace a decent 7.25" circular saw for cross cutting 2x4 etc.
What this WILL do is cut trim and plywood with ease and no tearouts. Its super light so running it all day wont beat up yer arm. Cuts far better than a jig saw for straight lines.
